Chemistry is all around us! In this five day camp, the kids will be learning about basic chemistry concepts such as atomic structure, chemical bonds, and molecules. I do use visual graphics including slideshows and at times video clips. The learners and I will be able to interact during our class discussion and activity time. Please read the syllabus for a list of each day's lesson. PDFs will be available in the classroom so that they can be printed for each day's meeting. A PDF of the supply list is available upon enrollment. ***Friends & Siblings All learners must be enrolled in class in order to be fair to all the other enrolled learners.***

Atomic Structure
The lesson topics for this class include atomic structure and an introduction to the periodic table. We will complete a hands-on activity in class. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Electrons
The lesson topics include electrons, electron orbitals, energy levels, and using Bohr models. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Electron Configuration
In this lesson, your child will learn how to write electron configurations. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Chemical Bonds
Your child will be introduced to the basics of chemical bonds with a hands-on activity. 45 mins online live lesson
Other Details
Parental Guidance
We will be using small objects like dried beans, beads, Skittles, M&Ms.
Toothpicks will be used
gumdrops, D.O.T.S. candy, or any small chewy candy that can be pierced by toothpicks. Clay, salt dough, may be used as well as raisins, small marshmallows, etc.
Supply List
A PDF of the supply list will be available upon enrollment. printed copies of the PDFs pencil with eraser notebook paper Small items like: M&Ms, Skittles, jellybeans, gummy bears, gumdrops, different colored very small pom poms, different colored small buttons, different colored small sequins, or different colored pony beads.
