From fall farm scenes to Halloween and Thanksgiving Day projects, each week students will create a new art project inspired by the season of fall! Students will be guided through a step-by-step directed drawing and then will watercolor paint their project. During the painting portion of the lesson, students will be provided the instruction to utilize different painting techniques while being encouraged to add their own creative details. This class values the process of creating art over the final product. Building confidence, exploring creativity, and having fun are the main objectives of this course. My name is Kai and I have a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, a Child Development Master Teacher Permit, and Master in Education from UCLA. Over the last 10 years, I've worked with children ages 3-12 as a teacher, summer camp counselor, and tutor. My passion is teaching early elementary and I have spent the last four years perfecting my practice as a Kindergarten and TK teacher.
My classroom is a warm and fun space where all students are celebrated and welcomed! It is my top priority to ensure that all my students feel safe so that they can try new things and learn. I enjoy teaching all subjects and finding ways to engage students in fun and educational ways. No matter the subject, I look forward to working with your bright and unique child!
