These personalized one-on-one math tutoring sessions will be tailored to meet individual student needs, effectively closing learning gaps or accelerating academic progress in mathematics. Each session will incorporate interactive activities, virtual manipulatives, engaging games, puzzles, and direct instruction. We will transition from concrete to abstract concepts, utilizing a variety of strategies and applications to make math relevant and relatable for students. My teaching style emphasizes a deep understanding of math concepts rather than rote memorization of facts. The first class will include a formative needs assessment to identify each student's strengths and weaknesses. Following this assessment, I will provide parents with a comprehensive action plan outlining the student's progress. Students will be encouraged to employ diverse problem-solving strategies to enhance their mathematical skills.
Learning Goals
Students will be "met where they are" and learn to self-assess and use what works for them. Learning outcomes will be determined after the initial meeting with the student and parent so that they focus on each child's specific needs.

Strategies are included for English Language Learners, reading comprehension as applied to mathematics, as well as problem solving strategies for students with dyscalculia and other challenges. Activities will also assist students with ADHD
