Hi you guys! In this on-going, weekly class you will follow along with me to practice animation and video editing skills in the new and super popular Procreate Dreams app! For this class, you will need an iPad, an Apple Pencil (best), the Procreate app (downloaded and installed), the Procreate Dreams app (downloaded and installed), and a *separate device for joining the Zoom call.* Are you super stoked to start animating your own Shorts/Reels/Animated Memes/Short Films in the Procreate Dreams app, but just not sure where to start? Trust me--you're not alone! This app unfortunately isn't super intuitive, but over the last seven months I've gotten to know it and have found methods for creating my own Shorts/Reels, and I'm excited for the opportunity to share some of this knowledge with you! Each week, we'll begin our meetings with greetings, and everyone will have an opportunity to briefly share an artwork or animation that they've been working on. I will then demonstrate a skill in the Procreate Dreams app, sometimes between the Procreate app and the Procreate Dreams app, then we will all practice the new skill and see what we can do with it! Sometimes we will use the regular Procreate app and Procreate Dreams app together [during "Walk Cycle" weeks, for example this may come up].

Parental Guidance
The drawing/animating app Procreate AND the new animation app Procreate Dreams are used (often together) in this class. They can be purchased and downloaded from the Apple App Store.
Please Note: We won't use them together in every class, but we will need both of them in certain lessons.
Learners *must* have a separate device, such as a computer, phone, or other tablet, to join the Zoom call.

YouTube is included in the External Resources, as from time-to-time a Learner asks a question during class that I may not be able to answer immediately given time or because I myself don't know the answer yet!
When this occurs, I may have to make a short YouTube video, usually under 5 minutes, to explain the solution once I figure it out. In these cases, I will share this video directly in the Classroom Discussion Board (as an embedded link here on Outschool), as it's possible that this solution may benefit more than just the Learner who asked the original question. :)

iMovie is a video editing app that is free and pre-downloaded on Apple products. There may be times when we use this for video editing/compiling and/or audio smoothing, though it will not be necessary in every class.

This class is designed for beginners--so super beginners are welcome! Experience with the regular Procreate app may help, but isn't required. :)

iPad (fully charged) Procreate app for iPad ($12.99 in App Store; already downloaded and installed) Procreate Dreams ($19.99 in App Store; already downloaded and installed) Stylus (Apple Pencil = best; also fully charged) Separate device for joining the Zoom call (required). iMovie is a video editing app that is free and pre-downloaded on Apple products. There may be times when we use this for video editing/compiling and/or audio smoothing, though it will not be necessary in every class. * * * Please Note: Procreate Pocket is *NOT* a substitute for the Procreate app for iPad in this class. For the lessons where we need both Procreate and Procreate Dreams, if you choose to use Pocket in place of the Procreate app [during lessons where this app is used], you will need to be confident and comfortable with it. I will not be troubleshooting the Pocket app or Airdropping issues in this class. Procreate is only available on iPad. Please check that Procreate & Procreate Dreams are compatible with your iPad model, prior to purchasing. The Model Name can be found in your iPad Settings, under About, and the App Store should provide information on currently compatible models.

Except for 2D Animation Club, if a learner is confident in another animation application they may choose to join with it. However, I will not be troubleshooting other apps during these lessons.
