Beginner Level
🏰 Welcome to Creative Foundations! 🏠 In this 40-minute creative journey, budding architects will explore the exciting world of architecture. With just a pencil, ruler, and paper, young artists will unleash their imagination and design unique structures. This is a weekly recurring class. The content does not build. Join anytime, stay as long as you like. 🌟 Class Highlights: Diverse Structures: Design a variety of structures, including skyscrapers, treehouse, bridge, cabin, lighthouse, castle, dog park, farmhouse, and an overhead view of a putt-putt golf course. This class covers exterior views for some places, and interior views of others. Personalized Guidance: Step-by-step instructions are given to ensure learners grasp the fundamentals of drawing basic shapes and forms. We also have fun adding three-dimensional elements to our sketches. We occasionally use vanishing points (one & two point perspective). Interactive Discussions: Engage in lively discussions about the characteristics that make each structure unique. Explore questions like who resides there, materials used, the surroundings, and special features. Think like an architect as you add to your design! Inventive Freedom: Learners are encouraged to infuse their creations with personal touches in each drawing. Does the bridge cross over land or water? Is there a pathway leading to your cabin? Does your structure have solar panels? What types of plants grow in your greenhouse? Is your shop wheelchair accessible? The possibilities are endless! 👉 Additional Information: Materials: pencil, ruler, and paper. Age Range: This class is designed for learners ages 8-11. Age exceptions considered based on the learner's ability level. Please send me a message if you have any questions. For learners that are 11 years old, you may also want to look at the Architecture Drawing Club, it's more advanced and might be a better fit if your young artist has had drawing classes before. ⏰ Punctuality Matters: The class starts right on time. Latecomers or absent students may watch the playback recording. I will open the classroom one minute before the class start time. **Please note that pausing a learner's subscription does not save their spot in the class. As I maintain a class size limit of 6 for this class, I cannot hold spots or guarantee when one will become available again. All class enrollments are on a first come, first serve basis. Thank you for your understanding. Let's dive into an architectural adventure together! 🌆✏️✨ Weekly focus: Week of January 5th-11th: Treehouse Week of January 12th-18th: Stone Bridge Week of January 19th-25th: Farmhouse Week of January 26th-February 1st: Cottage Week of February 2nd-8th: Ice Cream Shop Week of February 9th-15th: Museum (interior) Week of February 16th-22nd: Townhouses Week of February 23rd-March 1st: Castle Week of March 2nd-8th: Skyscrapers Week of March 9th-15th: Beach House Week of March 16th-22nd: Train Station Week of March 23rd-29th: Bakery (interior) Week of March 30th-April 5th: Entrance to amusement park Week of April 6th-12th: Putt Putt golf course Week of April 13th-19th: Dog Park Week of April 20th-26th: Yurt Week of April 27th- May 3rd: Cruise Ship Week of May 4th-10th: Coffee Shop Week of May 11th-17th: Greenhouse Week of May 18th-24th: Rocket Launchpad Week of May 25th-31st: Clock Tower Week of June 1st-7th: Capitol Building Week of June 8th-14th: Fountain Week of June 15th-21st: Large Modern Home Total list of classes: 1.Treehouse 2.Stone bridge 3.Farmhouse 4.Cozy Cottage (A-Frame Design) 🏠 5.Ice Cream Shop (exterior)🍦 6.Museum (interior) 7.Townhouses 8.Castle 🏰 (introduction to vanishing points) 9.Skyscrapers 🏙️ (perspective/looking up) 10.Beach House 🏖️ 11.Train Station 🛤️ 12.Bakery (interior) 13.Yurt (modern) 14.Cruise Ship 15.Coffee Shop 16.Greenhouse 17.Rocket Launchpad 🚀 18.Clock Tower 19.Capitol Building 20.Large Modern Home 21.Fountain-2 or 3 tiers 22.Dog Park 23.Food truck 24.Putt Putt golf course (map) 25.Entrance to amusement park 26.Playground
