In this 5 lesson course, we will create Valentines Day themed art! Each lesson I will post a video demonstrating a guided drawing or project. These videos will show students step by step how to create the artwork. Students can personalize their background and make creative choices. I will show students several examples to help with the brainstorming process! No prior knowledge is needed. Students will get to use a variety of art materials for this course such as watercolor, markers or colored pencils. In lessons I show students how to create the outline of the drawing first. Then we add color and value to the drawing. I demonstrate to students how to create value in color pencil by building the layers. This creates a more realistic and dimensional drawing. Lesson One: This week we will draw a Valentines Heart Crayon & Watercolor Drawing Lesson Two: This week we will draw Valentines Animals Valentines Lesson Three: This week we will draw a Valentines Candy Box Drawing. Lesson Four: This week we will draw a Peanut Butter & Jelly Drawing. Lesson Five: This week we will draw a Valentines Bookmark.

Heart in Crayon Watercolor Resist
In this lesson learners will use given templates to create a resist design in crayon and finish in watercolor! 10 mins of video lessons
Lesson 2:
Valentines Day Animal Drawings
In this lesson students will create four Valentine's Day animal drawings. Students can create smaller versions for valentines cards. 15 mins of video lessons
Lesson 3:
Valentine's Day Candy Box Drawing
In this lesson students will create a Valentines candy box drawing. 9 mins of video lessons
Lesson 4:
Valentines Peanut Butter & Jelly Drawing
In this lesson students will create a drawing of peanut & jelly characters. 11 mins of video lessons

Parental Guidance
Book mark uses scissors & optional hole punch. If you do not have a hole punch, poking a pencil through can make a hole with assistance.

1. 8.5x10 drawing paper (printer paper is fine) 2. Color pencils or markers 3. Watercolors & brush 4. A crayon 5. Printouts posted in classroom 5. Thick & Thin black marker 6. Optional hole punch & string
