Welcome to 2D Digital Art: Pixels and Sprites, a creative and exciting program designed for kids in grades 4-10 who love to create 2D art and want to explore the world of pixel art and character sprite design. Our program is perfect for those who are inspired by classic video games, animations, and webtoons and want to learn how to create their own pixel-based artwork. In this five-day course, we will focus on teaching participants how to design and create 2D pixel objects and character sprites using digital art tools. Our instructors will guide students through the process of bringing their creations to life with simple animation techniques. Participants will learn how to create their own unique character(s) and make 2D character sprites inspired by their favorite video games, as well as create pixel-based replicas of life-like backgrounds, items or structures. The program will also explore the basics of pixel art and design concepts, including how to use software specifically designed for pixel art and sprites. At our core, we believe in student-centered learning with collaborative projects. Our program is designed to provide an interactive, engaging, and fun learning environment for participants. We believe that creativity is at its best when it is explored through interactive projects, games, and slides, so students can expect a blend of lecture, group discussion, and hands-on learning. No prior experience is required, as our program is suitable for all levels. Whether your child is a beginner or an experienced artist, our instructors will provide personalized guidance and support to ensure that every student is able to develop their skills and achieve their creative goals.
