My classes are taught with understanding and kindness. I encourage students to fully participate during class. The more little learners engage, I feel the more they learn. In this class we will talk about the joys and questions that come with adding a new baby to the family. We will talk through how to express our feelings of jealousy, knowing that sometimes big feelings are hard to share with our families. Am I going to have to share my room or my favorite toys? Is the baby going to cry ALL OF THE TIME? These are only a few of the topics we will cover. There are so many positives to being a big brother or sister let’s start our own list of what our new roles mean and how we can grow into our new family. Together we will share what we are feeling about a new sibling and learn from other students who may have the same concerns.

Bachelor's Degree in Education from Iowa State University
Hello, my name is Angela. I teach classes to all ages and abilities.
I love teaching in a low pressure, fun atmosphere. I believe the most rewarding aspect of learning is the gained ability to connect with others.
I have a BA in Child and Family Service, I am a certified librarian, with TESOL and TEFOL certifications, 25 years of teaching experience with varied ages and abilities. My specialty is helping children with anger/anxiety issues, along with neurodivergent students who may need a little extra support.
My passion is helping others fulfill their learning goals. I am a lifelong learner and love to pass that passion along to my students. My days begin with teaching children of all abilities. When I am not working, I am usually on my farm playing with my pigs, ducks and chickens. I can't forget my two dogs too!
As a mom of two, I know the importance of individualized lessons. Every child is different and it is my goal to teach how they learn. They need to leave my class feeling like they can add a new skill to their lives. Teaching is one more way to build confidence in my students and I love every moment of it.
