In this class, students will participate in a Zumba dance fitness. This course combines dance and exercise moves. I show modifications as needed depending on the routine. No prior dance experience required. I am here to que all the moves. The more you come the easier the routines become. We start with a Warm Up, then workout by dancing to various styles of music, and then we do a Cool Down. Students will need proper footwear (preferably tennis shoes), an open workout space, and a bottle of water to stay hydrated.

Parental Guidance
Since Zumba is a physical fitness routine, parents must be aware that students are at risk of injury if not properly supervised. This can happen if student does not have proper footwear, an appropriate workout space, sufficient water to drink, or adequate stretching.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! I'm Raquel GARDNER, I've been a ZIN™ Member since Oct 2019 and I absolutely love teaching Zumba classes. Aside from teaching Zumba, I also have a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in graphic design. With this degree I do freelance graphic design projects for various people and corporations.
I have been a ZUMBA-HOLIC since 2009 and obtained my ZIN License in October of 2019. As an instructor I strive to see my students reach their fitness goals while having fun. In my classes I am known as the “HYPE GIRL”. So, my goal is to ensure you stay motivated throughout the workout and have a great time. I also enjoy being a gym-aholic in many other fitness classes as well. Sweets are my weakness!
