Class Experience
In this class, learners will visit the local zoo and learn about different animals and their habitats. This is a flex class and does not meet live. I will submit videos each week of me visiting the zoo. Each video will be accompanied with facts about each animal. We will discuss their habitats and what region they are mostly located. Learners will be assigned a discussion question that will be posted in Outschools classroom and Nearpod. Learners will discuss each animal through discussion based posts. Class breakdown: Week 1: African Animals (giraffe, elephant, lions) Short video of live footage at the zoo Short presentation of facts about each animal Discussion question Activity ( Draw the animal and using facts draw their habitats) Quiz Week 2 Asia Animals (Asian elephant, etc) Short video of live footage at the zoo Short presentation of facts about each animal Discussion question Activity ( Draw the animal and using facts draw their habitats) Quiz Week 3 Amazing Amazon (jaguars, otters, harpy eagles) Short video of live footage at the zoo Short presentation of facts about each animal Discussion question Activity ( Draw the animal and using facts draw their habitats) Quiz Week 4 Everglades Florida panther, gopher tortoise, bald eagle, American crocodile and alligator Short video of live footage at the zoo Short presentation of facts about each animal Discussion question Activity ( Draw the animal and using facts draw their habitats) Quiz Week 1 learners will be sent a video on how to log on to Nearpod. Videos, discussions, activities, and quizzes will all be posted on Nearpod and Outschool classroom.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about different animals from differents regions of the world and discuss each animal with other learners.

Parental Guidance
Learners will be using a scissor to prepare their assignments. Parent should be present when using scissors.
