Zombies Love Brains! - Smart Kids' Games Party (7-9 Yo, ESL Welcome)
Class experience
US Grade 2 - 4
In this class, young learners (ESL students are welcome, too!) can pick any of the fun, educational games in my collection to play along with. We will vote on which game to play as soon as greetings are done. If there's a tie, I'll use a spinner application to choose for us. Games will feature math, reading, grammar, synonyms, antonyms, analogies, parallelisms, logic puzzles, navigation, US state names, riddles, and search & find puzzles. After that, depending on the game, we'll either...
Clue Finders: The Incredible Toy Store Adventure | Features math, logic and reasoning, pattern, geography, navigation, spelling, and grammar puzzles. Little Monster Private Eye: The Mummy Mystery | Features logic and reasoning, memory-match, shell game, riddle, and Simon-says puzzles. Zoombinis: Logical Journey | Features many logic and reasoning games. ODS: Air Explorer | Features US states and capitals, as well as cardinal directions. Difficulty can be easily adjusted to each player's level, ranging from "Find this word on the screen." to "In which direction is the state known as 'The Palmetto State'?" ODS: Captain Smartbeard's Scholarly Sea Adventure | Features math, reading, grammar, analogies, parallelisms, synonyms, antonyms, and simple navigation. Difficulty can be easily adjusted to each player's level, ranging from kindergarten to high school levels. I Spy: Fantasy | Features riddles, poems, and search & find puzzles. Most puzzles are fairly easy and learners are invited to work together and use the screen-draw tool to circle the objects when they find them.
I began teaching as a teacher's assistant around 2007. I recieved my TESOL in 2019 and have been teaching English as a second language ever since. I have taught over 8500 classes, with anywhere from 1-5 students ages 2-15, as well as several other types of classes geared towards art and crafting.
2 files available upon enrollmentAs the game will be shared in a screen-share, everything on this list is optional. • A costume • Your favorite toy/stuffed animal • Your favorite candy
In this class, I will be scren-sharing one of the educational games of the learners' choosing. I am happy to help them if they're having a hard time finding things or figuring out any of the puzzles. All games contain content and humor safe for very young learners. Masks are welcome, however, masks should be removed for identification during the first four minutes of class to meet safety and privacy policies. Please note that costumes will be vetted by the educator to ensure that they met Outschool standards (secular, age-appropriate, etc.). Thank you!
I will be sharing the games in a screen-share, so no account will be needed.
