Every day we will discuss new chapters in Dragons and Marshmallows. Day One we will review Chapters 1-4, Day Two will cover Chapters 5-8, Day Three Chapters 9-12, Day Four Chapters 13-16 and Day Five will be a final review and class discussion. The class will learn how to develop story comprehension through activities that improve ability to relate the Text to Self and Text to Text, Sequencing, Inference, and Critical Response. Students will develop a greater understanding of key vocabulary words. Students will also complete sequencing activities to help develop their understanding of events in the story. This will be a fun, interactive class that will allow for a lot of student discussion. I will also offer a separate Science class that also follows along with the story.
