Imaginary worlds, superheroes, talking animals, movies, food…. Let’s talk about our favorite things and draw them together! ABOUT This is an ongoing club where learners have the opportunity to geek out and meet likeminded friends by drawing and talking about their favorite things. The atmosphere will be relaxed and friendly, and subscribed learners will be able to suggest fun topics for future classes. Learners can choose the medium they are comfortable in - pencil, crayons, paint, markers, charcoal, or any others. Learners will receive tips and/or demos to help guide their drawings in the right direction whenever needed. There will be a celebratory show and tell at the end of every class! LEARNING This club is more about being social and being able to draw from learners' imagination in a space where help is readily given. Learners can draw what they want and will receive help and guidance whenever they need help. For shy learners, I will be asking each individual learner if they need help throughout the class so that they have opportunities to ask for help. *****The topic for each week is optional. Learners can draw whatever they want, or they can draw something that goes along with the week’s topic! Teacher expertise and credentials
I graduated from Grand Central Atelier in New York City where I was trained to draw and paint realistically in a traditional way. While I usually draw realistically, I also enjoy using this approach to draw in different styles. My goal is to teach children the tools of drawing and give them the opportunity to practice applying them so that they will be able to draw what they want independently.
