Beginner - Intermediate Level
Mike Harding of Applefun Puppetry has been performing for over 20 years. He has conducted thousands of shows at libraries, schools, and birthday parties. Mike studied Improvisational Comedy at Second City which adds a unique and spontaneous flavour to his shows. Applefun Puppetry Puppet Shows are characteristically interactive with a high degree of audience participation. Now Mike is ready to pass his knowledge on to the next generation of artists. Students will work along with professional puppeteer Mike Harding to create their very own puppet show! Readily available materials will be used. The teaching environment is relaxed, encouraging, inclusive and respectful. Participants will learn to take inspiration from what is around them to create puppets, a stage, and a story.

Teacher expertise and credentials
In my classes I work to inspire creativity through puppetry. For over 20 years I have made my living as a puppeteer performing, writing and building puppets. Learners in my classes are treated with respect, are always listened to and I endeavour to help them become the best that they can be. When I am not doing puppetry I love listening to music and spending time with my dog Thor!
