Hello fellow animators and happy Spring Break! This animation camp is for BEGINNER LEVEL artists who want to get started in animation. It is a 3 day camp which makes for a short, easy, and exciting way to learn about animation and try it out for yourself! It's also a great way to meet new people with similar interests :) During our time together, we will explore all 5 types of animation, talk about the "12 principles of animation," and discuss what tools/materials/apps are needed to continue their journey in animation! Here is a breakdown of the classes: MONDAY- "How To Get Started in Animation" (what is animation? What are the different types of animation? What are the "12 Principles of Animation? What tools, apps, and materials do I need for making my own animations?) TUESDAY- "Hand Drawn Animation: Traditional and 2D Digital" (how to create hand drawn animations both traditionally and digitally with flipbooks and free apps) WEDNESDAY- "Hands-On Animation: Stop Motion and CG" (how to create stop motion and 3D animations) These intro lessons create excitement in art/animation and boosts confidence so that students can come to the realization that animation is something they CAN do and CAN be good at, even if they don't know anything about animation yet or are just starting out in their creative journey!
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to get started in animation as well as boost their confidence in their art and creativity!
