This ongoing club is a space for kids to meet people, empower them to communicate with one another, build confidence in speaking, and be heard. We will acknowledge the good and brainstorm ways to work through common issues.

This group meets weekly and welcomes all kids who desire to meet others and build confidence in communicating within a group. The group is an open forum, which means that the participants are encouraged to bring something they want to discuss with the group that is related to building confidence, communication, or sharing the good news that happened in their life that week. The goals of this group are to share topics that are of importance and interest to participants while maintaining a positive atmosphere. Members will learn communication skills and the confidence to engage with others.
Ms. A has a a Master's in Human Services: Life Coaching. She is also a Jack Canfield Certified Trainer in the Success Principles and a Life and Transformational Coach through the Health Coach Institute. She has been working with teens for over 17 years. She is a certified secondary English teacher. She has a Bachelor's degree in English and Mass Media and a Master's in Educational Management. Ms. A feels that when a student believes in him or herself, then the student is more successful in all areas of their life. Finding the confidence within and knowing that others are cheering them on truly makes a difference.
Homework Offered
Depending on the topic, students may be asked to set goals or journal. Any homework that is assigned is independent. The homework should take no more than 20 minutes.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
