30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
After introduction of learners, we will learn how to make a calming item and the class will watch as a real gem is placed in a real water fountain, one for each of the partners. We will learn new breathing techniques and this will all be in the first ten minutes of the class. Then we will start learning our series of yoga poses based on the theme of: Playful Partner yoga. Watching and listening to the the instructor is how we will learn! We will review and pick our favorite breath and pose. Towards the end of class, we will place a stuffed animal on our tummy and a bandana or scarf over our eyes and we will relax and listen to a calming meditation in savasana. Recordings are always available of my classes! Copyright Tracy Hartmann 2022 ©

Parental Guidance
We will do no poses on the head or neck since they are still growing so no parental supervision is required. Water bottle and bare feet are optional. A partner is definitely required for this class. Also, a large space to move around is needed. This class is priced lower since each child must enroll.
Supply List
A bandana/scarf for each person, a stuffed animal for each person. One yoga mat is needed for the partner poses and for savasana at the end they can share one or use individual mats. A partner is a requirement for this class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am no longer teaching on Outschool.
Hello! I am Tracy Hartmann and I have been teaching children’s yoga for 16 years! I have my certification through Budding Yogis in Washington DC from Circle Yoga. I have been teaching preschoolers and K through 6 th grade in after-school yoga classes, private classes and summer camps. Now I’ve surpassed teaching 1300 children in over 700 yoga classes on Outschool!!
I have an important fact to share: children’s yoga is not just a child on a mat! In my class I incorporate breathing, seeing various calming items and learning how to make our own, stuffed animals, a real water fountain where the kids can pick their favorite color and put a gem in and then we learn our main poses per our theme. They pick their favorite breath and pose to help remember what they’ve learned! Lastly, during savasana, we put a bandana over our eyes and rest. We listen to a calming meditation.
The recordings of my classes are ALWAYS available for you.
I also believe it is vital to teach the children many different and fun ways to breathe to calm ourselves down. I have over 30 breathings for kids! Along these lines I also have experience with many different types of learners and needs of the child and I have an exceptional level of patience needed for every different learner.
With yoga and breathing, children deserve to learn many ways to self regulate and calm themselves!! This ability will help them throughout their lives!! I look forward to meeting you!
