Class Experience
In this individualized class, we will practice enjoyable and meaningful yoga poses and techniques that are healthy for the body, mind, and spirit. Each day, we will begin with a brief discussion about the learner’s interests and needs for the particular class. Then, with that in mind, we will practice our yoga: warm up breathing, sun salutations, a variety of yoga poses tailored to the aforementioned goals, a cool down, a meditation, and a calming period of relaxation. Please know, I always ensure we stay safe, are comfortable, and enjoy the practice no matter the learner’s experience level. This private class is an amazing way to start or continue a yoga journey, to supplement other sports/activities, and to aid in one’s mindfulness, strength, flexibility, balance, sense of calm, focus, and more.

Parental Guidance
Yoga is a wonderfully beneficial activity for the mind and body. Following class, the student may choose to continue practicing the poses and techniques on their own; in that case, please be sure to provide proper adult supervision.
Supply List
- A yoga mat or similar soft, nonslip flooring on which to practice. - Suitable room to move arms and legs freely. - Comfortable clothing with bare feet or socks with grips. *Optional: If a learner has other yoga props they would like to use (eg. yoga blocks, a yoga strap, a bolster, etc.), then they are welcome to bring those to class as well.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hi, my name is Dawn, and I have been teaching various classes for over 20 years now and have enjoyed every minute!
I am a 300 hour certified yoga instructor who is registered with the Yoga Alliance as an experienced yoga teacher (E-RYT) as well as a continuing education provider (YACEP). I am a state certified teacher in New Jersey and also have a certificate in teaching yoga for kids. My yoga classes encompass all ages and levels and are a fun, themed blend of yogic breathing, poses, games/activities (age-appropriate), meditation, and relaxation. Kids, teens, and adults alike deserve to safely enjoy the many wonderful benefits of yoga: feeling peaceful, happy, and healthy both inside and out.
I look forward to virtually meeting everyone. My cat, who often makes an appearance, and I hope to see you in class soon! Namaste :)
