Important Note: CEFR: all levels Neurodiversity welcome. In all of my Yoga classes, proprioception and interoception will be further explored and cultivated. Learner shall be cleared by his/her Physician to engage in the physical practice of Yoga. This class is perfect for the teen with some type of special need, from cultivating self-love to releasing tensions at all levels. Learner will enjoy this inclusive, triple bliss, private class designed to offer a nourishing break to re-center, energize body & mind, and then physically & mentally relax enjoying the fruits of the practice. Learner is carefully guided through a variety of progressively engaging Yoga poses. Poses are selected for their specific benefits. Class includes intentional breathing techniques, starting with the most cleansing and gradually leading into energizing, then relaxing ones, gifting your teenager with a sense of relief, an oxygenated body & mind, and a deep state of relaxation to harmonize all the layers of their being, and their body systems as well, especially the muscular, respiratory and nervous. Teaching style is kind, mindful, descriptive of the practices in age-appropriate language, and with light, vigorous, but calm interaction. There is no pre-requisite for this class. Safety First: Learner shall be cleared by his/her Physician to engage in the physical practice of Yoga. By registering Learner in this class, Guardian/Parent(s) acknowledge(s) they understand there are always risks in any physical program, assume(s) all risks, and waive(s) any rights to file any claim against the instructor in regards to Learner's participation in class. Variations are provided and the use of props is explained as needed; poses are held for just about 3 breaths, moving at an easy, but dynamic pace, with positive affirmations that maintain or restore their sense of self-esteem and wellbeing. Learners who find they benefit from the practice, may re-register weekly, as classes will have a familiar structure with some different poses, breaths and meditations. Namaste.
