Class Experience

Do you want your child to improve their writing skills. Starting in Kindergarten children begin writing words and simple sentences. This class will help your child build their fine motor skills. Writing will focus on letter formation, writing words, sentence structure, and complete sentences in this ongoing class.

We will learn and practice sight words and word families each week. This will help your child improve their sight word and word family knowledge. While practicing the words, we will focus on writing words and sentences to make complete sentences. There will be explicit instruction on letter formation and sentence structure. We will have a fun and educational experience by practicing weekly sight words and word family words.

We will also illustrate our words and sentences. Students will be encouraged to illustrate their sentences.

Materials Need for Class:
1) Printable will be placed in the classroom and ready for families to print. The printable paper will be the same each week. We will add our words and sentences to our paper.
2) Pencils
3) Extra Paper Copies (just in case your child needs more paper)
4) Crayons
**** A dry-erase board, marker, and eraser would be helpful for writing too.
