The different elements of a five paragraph essay will be taught. The first day, we will learn to brainstorm, and create an outline. The second day we will share the outlines, and learn to write an introductory paragraph. The third day we will share our introductory paragraphs, and learn how to write supporting paragraphs. The fourth day, we will share our supporting paragraphs, and learn how to write a solid conclusion. The last day, we will share our finished papers, and if we have extra time, we can play a round of Fortnite together. The class will be taught with a visual presentation with time to practice the concepts taught in class. Writing will be shared in a oral manner where other students can give their feedback to the writer. As the students are learning about introductory paragraphs, they will also learn about creating a thesis statement. The format for each paragraph should include about five sentences as well. Students are able to either write by hand, or type on a computer. I look forward to seeing what they come up with!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of the structure of a five paragraph essay. They will also learn how to structure a paragraph while writing.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello and Good Day! My name is Teacher Leiloni and I am a life long learner. This means that I love to learn new things. I have my bachelors in Education which helps me to teach my own children as well as others. I have a certificate in children's yoga. I have taught in person private classes and have been certified under the Leadership Education Mentoring Institute in Shakespeare Conquest, Key of Liberty and the Georgics class. I have also attended training to teach a Mission Hero class which teaches the scholars about heroes while learning about the Civil War through current events. My children have shown chickens through 4-H for a few years so I ended up being the poultry leader. I began my online teaching career teaching ESL to children in China as well!
I believe that children learn best when they are led by their own interests, or at least a teacher or mentor that can inspire them to gain new knowledge and passions.
