Students will understand how characters play an important role in shaping fiction stories. Students will use their favorite author's writing to identify elements of good writing techniques. Students will create and write about an original character for their own creative writing piece.
I am currently hold the following educational certifications through the state of Florida: Reading K-12, Literacy Coach Endorsement, K-6 Elementary, ESL K-12.
Homework Offered
Prior to class, students should think about their favorite character in a fiction book. They will share this at the beginning of the class. Students are also encouraged to send their work to the teacher after class for feedback on the strengths of the writing as well as areas for improvement.Assessments Offered
