This class offers one-on-one writing support and guidance for students; for this reason, learning will be personalized for each writer. Whether a student is seeking assistance with writing a captivating essay or engaging fictional piece, I tailor my lessons to meet the needs of the individual writer. Using a relaxed teaching style, I provide constructive feedback and guidance for young writers. A student may be working on a current piece, or we can develop one together. I ask your student to bring basic computer skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to grow skills a developing writer!
Learning Goals
Writers will strengthen their fluency and cohesion as they focus on the six traits of writing: ideas, organization, voice, sentence fluency, word choice, and conventions. They will learn to use constructive feedback to make effective revisions.
