Writing Short Stories
Students will learn to write short stories with a writing prompt. Students should be able to interject emotion and opinions in their short stories. Students will make an illustration of their favorite part of the story and share it.

Though we try to adhere to stated class times, occasionally things happen that delay sharing everyone's work. Students may stay over if we run out of time to share everyone's work, but everyone will have to sign back into Zoom as it only permits 40 minutes.Grading

Beginner Level
In this one-time 40 minute class, students will collaborate to craft a short story from a writing prompt. Students will illustrate their favorite part of the story and share their creations with the group. Students will gain confidence in formulating ideas, sharing emotions, and expressing opinions by creating imaginative stories.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have a bachelor's degree form Catawba College. I have 120hour TEFL certification to teach English as a second language. I have taught classes publicly open to special needs adults and non-disabled peers. I have taught classes such as Reading for fun, Life Skills, Health and Wellness, Arts and Crafts for Donation. I am a published second author on a scientific paper in the Journal of Biological Chemistry.
