FOUNDATIONS OF WRITING summer camp will help them excel in writing in school. It includes the “paragraph hamburger”, which is a writing organizer that visually outlines the key components of a paragraph including: the topic sentence, detail sentences, and a closing sentence are the main elements of a good paragraph, and each one forms a different “piece” of the hamburger. The class will also focus on the 5 steps in the writing process and will include daily writing prompts, editing tips, revision tips, grammar, vocabulary, writing opinion essays and more. Teacher feedback will be provided for writing work submitted.
