Class Experience
US Grade 2 - 5
During this class, I will select a range of age/level appropriate topics for the student to choose from. Once the student chooses their preferred picture for sentence writing, we will begin by discussing and highlighting the best vocabulary on the page that can be used to describe it. Next, we will go through the list of words we chose and write them into elaborate sentences, creating a detailed paragraph about the picture. The student will be encouraged to demonstrate their creative thinking skills, and use their own lived experiences for making connections in their writing. I will provide guidance in forming their thoughts and prompt them to edit their own written work while monitoring grammar, punctuation and spelling in real time.
