Writing and Illustrating Your Own True Story!
We will be creating a small moment story, all about a time in the writer's life. We'll be using an easy-to-follow structure that they can build on as they grow as writers. When our book is created, we'll illustrate!

I am happy to provide feedback on their finished product and give them the next steps they would need to grow as writers!Class Experience
US Grade 1 - 4
Beginner - Intermediate Level
We will be using Units of Study curriculum to develop an idea for a personal non-fiction story. We'll then outline our story across our 5 page structure and then add details to engage our readers. Once finished with the basic part of the book we'll spend some time illustrating and adding details. This is a fully interactive class where I can support spelling, answer questions, and help them illustrate step-by-step.

Teacher expertise and credentials
District of Columbia Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Long time teacher in the elementary and early childhood education space, but I love creating with art, music, writing, and technology. There are very few ideas that kids can't be taught to understand on a deep level if taught with love and care.
