Write Poems to Give as Presents (Perfect for the Holidays!)
In this one hour class, students will learn how to write poems that they can give as gifts to their loved ones. We will read poems as examples, learn different forms and have time to write and share our work. It will be educational and fun.

We will be learning about many different forms of poetry and writing our own poetry in a fun, dynamic classroom. I'm extremely excited about poetry so I'm an enthusiastic teacher! We will read example poems and then write our own poems based on the examples. Learners can ask questions and read their own work if they choose.

I teach journaling, poetry, and memoir classes, and I’m passionate about how writing can empower us through life’s challenges. Personally, writing played a crucial role in my recovery after brain surgery, helping me relearn how to walk and swallow. I’m a firm believer that writing can also illuminate who you are and who you aspire to be. I still cherish the first journal I started at age eight, and I’m always excited to help others discover the joys of writing.
