In this 4 week course students will read ninja stories, do ninja moves, and compose an opinion piece.

Students who love to move and learn will enjoy this high energy class where lessons provide an opportunity to improve their writing skills. Specifically, students will be working on writing an opinion piece that explains their opinion, gives reasons for their opinion and provides a conclusion. The class will work on these ideas as a team, however students will also be given the option to create their own writing. The first and most important goal is to build confidence in writing. An "I can do it" attitude will be nurtured and encouraged. Additionally, students will learn how to organize and write an opinion paragraph while practicing martial arts.
Mrs.Braun is a certified teacher with a Master's Degree in Educational Technology and Research. She is also a Second Degree Black Belt with over twenty years experience teaching martial arts. Finally, she is a home school mom to a nine and ten year old!
Homework Offered
Homework will be assigned in each class, as outlines in the class description. Students will use these assignments to inspire thinking and discussion at home.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
An ongoing assessment will be conducted throughout the class so that the teacher can calibrate pace and check for understanding.Grades Offered
Although NOT required, students are encouraged to purchase the following books: 1. "Black Belt Bunny" by Jacky Davis 2. "Hello Ninja Hello Georgie" by N.D Wlison
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parents should have an area for student that is free of obstacles that could get in the way of kicking, punching, and jumping.
