Welcome to Writing Descriptively 101!

This class is all about the essentials of descriptive writing, but it's structured in a very simple and immersive way that won't feel complicated at all. If you're interested in writing descriptively for poems or stories but are nervous about its complexity--look no further!

This is a one-time lecture-style class where we will get together and learn all about descriptive writing. Topics covered are Simile, Metaphor, Adverbs and Adverb Abuse, and writing...

This class will reinforce: 
* simile
*metaphor
*hyperbole
*adverb use
*using the 5 senses while writing.

No homework is given.

Paper (or notebook) 
A pencil or pen for writing and taking notes

Progress will be seen by the student's ability at the end of class to write their own descriptive sentences.

50 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
