Students will develop their writing skills by mastering the essential components of a well-structured paragraph. 
Identify and Write a Clear Topic Sentence: Students will practice crafting topic sentences that clearly state the main idea of the paragraph.
Develop Supporting Sentences: Students will write supporting sentences that provide relevant details, explanations, and examples to elaborate on the main idea.
Use Transitional Words and Phrases: Students will incorporate transitional words and phrases to create coherence and flow within the paragraph.
Conclude with a Strong Closing Sentence: Students will learn to write effective closing sentences that summarize the main idea and provide a sense of closure.

I am an ACE Certified Outschool Educator. I hold a Master's in Education and am Certified in Elementary Educators, which includes English Langauge Arts for Grades k-8th through the State of Wisconsin. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in English, Communications, and Print Media. I am fully bilingual in Spanish.

Details: Students will learn the steps to write an academic paragraph, including identifying and writing topic sentences, supporting sentences, concluding sentences, and the use of adjectives and adverbs. It also emphasizes the importance of a detailed outline for structuring paragraphs and provides practice exercises to reinforce the concepts.

Frequency: 3-6 throughout the class
Details: Feedback is given on all submitted work.  Outschoolers receive individualized, positive feedback to motivate their learners to enjoy the writing process. ➡️ This is a writing class! I do not provide grammar feedback.
