Assessment
Students will not be assessed but will be offered feedback and suggestions within the classroom environment. Parents are welcome to request a meeting to discuss progress or skill strengths and weaknesses. Reports or grades based on engagement, participation and work completion can be provided to parents or partner schools upon request.

Class Experience

Students can learn about resume building, filling out job applications, cover letters, interviewing and much more. Perhaps they need a little help with mock interviews and practicing responding to interview questions, students will have the opportunity to practice and develop their skills. Students may have specific jobs they are applying for or wish to apply for, they can book one on one sessions with me to help them complete their applications, or work on job specific skill building including interview question response.

Students will learn skills required to apply for jobs, and develop confidence when applying for jobs, interviewing and conducting follow up calls.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Students are encouraged to collect and practice filling out actual job applications from a variety of businesses in their local area.
Supply List
Students are encouraged to bring a 3 ring binder with sheet protectors if they plan to create a physical work portfolio, this will not be needed if they plan to create only a digital job portfolio.
Job applications from at least 3 businesses within the students home area.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
