Words Matter! Tone of Voice, Disrespect, Anger, Condescension, Bullying.

* I have added an additional video to this course. It is about how our behavior and words affect others. I wanted to add an update to be sure as my students needs change, I am addressing new issues that arise. 

Sometimes we speak without thinking and other times we want to inflict as much damage as possible with our words. In this class, we will be discussing the effects and alternatives to our language. Everything we say has a positive and/or negative impact on others. Bullying usually begins with insults, verbally attacking your siblings or parents, these are all topics we will go over in class.


Sticky words! Everything we say, positive and negative land somewhere. 
Difference in tolerance for the words we speak. What might not bother you, may really hurt others.


Can I be kind, or should I just stay silent?
Speaking out of anger creates hurt and misunderstandings.
What else can/should I say?


I KNOW! When we say things like this, what does it say about us? 


Good intentions or just to get attention?  What and why we are saying it.

Showing character or lack thereof.
Inner circle/our most trusted 
Promises to ourselves.
Bullying 
Insults

I teach in a fun, compassionate manner. All children are welcome in my classroom!

The videos are shorter than a live class. Your child is welcome to pause, rewatch and take notes. Since this is not a live class with interaction, all of the information can be presented in a shorter time frame. Thus making it more informative and easier for students to sit through.
