Each week during this ongoing class, students will be assigned a new grade appropriate list of spelling words. Each new spelling list will be uploaded to the our classroom over the weekend to allow students the opportunity to preview the spelling list before it is formally introduced in class the following week. Monday-Wednesday, students will be provided optional assignments for extra practice. On Wednesdays, learners will receive a link to take an optional spelling test. This is a subscription class, learners may join at anytime. Learners will be introduced to a new list each week. The class schedule is listed below: Day 1 Introduce learners to the new weekly spelling list by participating in various class activities. Day 2 Discuss the meaning of and a description of each word from the assigned spelling list. Day 3 Play games with the spelling words to ensure learners are able to spell and understand the meaning of each word. Age appropriate reading is recommended. It is also helpful for learners to have access to and be familiar with using Zoom's annotation features for class participation.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I believe in creating a learning environment that is engaging for each student. I enjoy teaching students the fundamentals of reading, grammar, and math. Seeing the joy on a child’s face once a new skill has been learned or mastered is priceless.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, but working with kids is my true passion. I enjoy helping students achieve an understanding of whatever concept or idea they are attempting to learn. I am a life- time learner always seeking opportunities to challenge myself by keeping up with the latest trends, tools, and resources to enhance my teaching abilities. I have 15 years of tutoring and classroom teaching experience in grades K-6 in a private school setting. I understand that each student is unique in his/her strengths and challenges, and it is up to me as the teacher to create a stimulating, individualized learning experience.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy time with my family, reading, and making crafts.
I hope to see you in my classroom very soon!
