Students will learn about the living artist, Natasha Wescoat, who is well-known for her whimsical style. We will study the color wheel, the use of layering and composition to create paintings inspired by her art. Students will follow along, step-by-step, with Ms. Crystal and are encouraged to interact with her and other students. Students are asked to share their finished art in the classroom for the teacher and other students to view. Recordings will be made available after each class for students to practice and review what they have learned in class. Recordings will be available to be viewed as many times as needed. Day 1: color mixing backgrounds Day 2: foreground and tree spirals Day 3: foreground and the importance of line Day 4: the partnership of background and foreground to create depth
