Homework
2-4 hours per week. Each will there will be two assignments. The first is a list of 3-7 discussion questions. These are to be answered by the students in their own words based on their thoughts and opinions. The second assignment is a list of 3-5 homework projects. Students are to choose 1 each week that they find interesting. These could be short research papers (1 page), a short video to watch and review, or a project.

The story of women in American politics is long and varied. Women have fought for, and found, equality in many different political arenas. In this class we will explore different women, their lives, career paths, and what impact they had on our society. This class will simply state facts, such as votes or positions on issues. This is a non-partisan class. This class will cover U.S. History up to the

Parental Guidance
This is a non-partisan class. Certain topics may come up in regards to individuals personal political beliefs, but this will be approached in a straight forward manner. This class will utilize Youtube videos for sharing of lecture videos, as well as supplemental lessons. All Youtube videos are embedded into the Outschool platform. This class may also utilize Kahoot. Learners will be given a direct link and game pin to play.
Supply List
Each week, a list of homework questions will be posted to the classroom page. There will also be a list of 2-5 research/project topics that the student will choose from for that week. Both of these are due on the Saturday of that week. Students will have to do research on their own time. I will be available for questions 24-7.

I have been an educator on Outschool since February of 2018. I have my MBA and MHA, both of which have taught me the value of conducting research and asking questions.  I have a passion for history, organization, reading, and learning. You can usually find me in the middle of 2-3 books or watching a documentary.
