Winter Christmas Break Art Camp - 3 Days of Artists, Painting, and Creating
In this 3 day class we will explore artists Matisse, Kandinsky,and Van Gogh and recreate their paintings using crayon and watercolor. Students will have fun learning about the artists and creating their own painting inspired by their work.

Beginner Level
In this 3 day class we will talk briefly about a different artist each day. We will discuss a their life and their artwork, and then students will create their own masterpiece using crayon and watercolor. We will talk about color, composition, creativity, and also the proper use of materials and clean up. The students will be able to create their pieces based on the artists' work, but in their own style and with their own personality and creativity. The class will be step by step allowing time for each learner to create their piece and be proud of what they create. No experience is needed, but some parental help could be needed if the student is younger. Please look at the supplies list for everything needed for this lesson! Each learner will need: - A watercolor set - A brush (any size will do) - A cup with water to clean the brush - Set of crayons (or oil pastels) - Heavy white paper (watercolor paper is preferred but not completely necessary) - Table protection (newspaper, butcher paper etc).

Parental Guidance
Parents are encouraged to be close by during the class to help their learner with the painting process to minimize spills (especially with electronics close by!) and to make sure their paints stay on the paper.

I have been an art teacher for 27 years with 21 years of experience in the classroom (2 year olds - High school AP art). I have been doing private art lessons for 27 years and have been involved in the local art community in Orlando, FL. I am a member of the Central Florida Chalk Artist Association (streetpainting) and also have been involved in creating murals in the community and painting projects for charities.
