In this multi-day camp, we will read a story together and then draw an image related to each day's story.

In this multi-day class, students will get to enjoy a fun winter story, and then we will work together to draw a themed item from the story. As the teacher, I will encourage students to interact with different parts of the story. After the story, I will open up a discussion for all students that may want to discuss any part of the story. After the story, we will begin our art project we can draw a themed item from the story! No drawing experience is necessary, and I will use common shapes such as circles and triangles. Children will be encouraged to design and add to their drawing in any way they like. Class #1: (Story) The Night Before the Snow Day (Art Project) A cup of hot cocoa Class #2: (Story) A Snowman for Little Bear (Art Project) A Winter bear Class #3: (Story) The Biggest Snowman Ever (Art Project) A Winter Mouse Class #4: (Story) Sneezy the Snowman (Art Project) A Snowman This is will be a relaxed and fun class that will allow all children to participate in the discussion if they so choose. I am a big advocate for reading to children as much as possible. It's amazing how much children can learn simply by reading to them on a regular basis. Children who are read to often will become better readers, spellers, and learners!
I have 20+ years of experience working with children ages birth to 18. All this experience came from owning and operating a childcare center for my local public school teachers, youth groups, preschool groups, and of course from being a very involved homeschooling mom!
My teaching style is relaxed and fun. I would like to provide an atmosphere that is welcoming and enjoyable. I will be offering multiple classes that offer students different learning options for reading, drawing, movement, and more!
