US Grade 1 - 3
In this one-time course, students will be playing a board game together. The board game will be winter themed. ******** HOW TO PLAY ********* I will show the board game on the screen. Students will choose a board game piece for the game. Students will roll a dice to know how many spaces to move on the board game. If students do not have a dice, I will have one to roll for the students. Students will look at the number on the dice and move that number of spaces on the board game. Once a student's piece is moved to the new space, I will read the card that is associated with that space. There will be four different types of spaces on the board game. The spaces will include snowmen, snowflake, mittens, and a winter hat. Each space will be a different type of card. The types of cards include Would You Rather questions, Two Truths and a Lie, Winter Riddle, and My Winter questions. The winner of the game is the first player to reach the end of the board game. ********* Would You Rather ******** When students land on a snowman space, they will be given a Would You Rather question. The students will be given two choices. They will explain which choice they would rather have and explain why. ********* Two Truths and a Lie ********* When students land on a snowflake space, they will be given two truths and a lie. Students must determine the lie. They will explain why it is a lie. ********** Winter Riddle ************ When students land on a mitten space, they will be given a winter riddle. Students must determine what winter word the riddle is describing. ********* My Winter************ When students land on a winter hat, they will be given a question about how they spend the winter. Students will be asked about their favorite activities in winter, what they eat or drink in winter, and what they need in the winter. Students will answer the question.

I received my BA in Elementary Education from Montana State University - Northern in 2009. For the past thirteen years, I have been teaching in an elementary school. I love teaching, and I love learning. I think every child deserves the best education. It is my goal to provide classes that will help your child be successful in their learning journey. My expertise includes movement, games, and fun as I teach specific content. Students learn best when they are directly involved in the learning. In my classes, your child will be learning content through hands-on activities. Teaching is one of my favorite things to do. Outside of teaching, I enjoy hiking, reading, cooking, and home decorating. I am looking forward to teaching your child.
