Students will be assigned a section of the book to read each week. As a group, we will discuss the events of the assigned reading in a respectful manner giving all the students the chance to respond if they so wish to during class. The students will enjoy learning literacy skills in a fun and engaging way. We will listen to audible, read and answer higher order thinking questions. Week 1: Introductions, Chapters 1-2 Literary Elements: vocabulary, prediction, quotes, character analysis,...
Your child will be assigned several chapters (3+) to read between classes. This may take 1-2 hours depending on your child's reading ability.
Your child will need a copy of book #9 in the Wings of Fire series. Wings of Fire: Talons of Power
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
