I have a Masters in Education degree from Azusa Pacific University. I have a current teaching credential to teach all K-8 subjects, Reading Endorsement, K-12 music, and K-12 ESL. I have taken additional workshops on how to teach reading and writing to elementary students. I have taught reading and writing in public schools, private schools, and at homeschool co-ops over the past 20 years.
This is a flexible class. All work will be done outside meetings as no live meetings are scheduled. Each class is designed for 45 minutes. Each student learns at his or her own rate and might take longer to complete. The flexible class is perfect to allow students to take the time needed to finish the class.
Students will need a few pieces of paper and scissors for the origami craft in 2 of the lessons.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will be assigned activities as they go through the class. The teacher will be assessing the work as they complete the lessons.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Students may need help completing the projects.
We will be using nearpod. A link to nearpod will be provided in the class. Nearpod makes learning interactive and fun online. A link to a Kahoot game will also be included in the class.
