We will begin class with introductions and a warm-up question. Then the fun begins! Each learner will have the opportunity to share their favorite animal. The teacher and other learners will have a chance to ask questions to learn more. Class time will also include fun riddles and guessing games all centered around- animals of course!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello families! My name is Laura. I believe reading is the ticket to life-long adventure. The greatest joy of my career has been nurturing the love of reading in my students! I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I love learning so much I returned to the classroom to earn my Master of Arts in Education. I spent eight years as a public school teacher teaching kindergarten and first grade. I have additional classroom experience teaching preschool learners through grade 6 as a substitute teacher. The last five years of my career has included teaching English Language Learners online. I strive to make my online classroom engaging and inviting for young learners.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy running, cooking, and of course- reading! I also love exploring the outdoors with my husband, three children, and our miniature poodle. I have a special passion for learning and teaching about animals. I look forward to meeting you in my classroom!
