Why Napoleon Failed

A brief presentation on how Napoleon self-destructed

Class experience

US Grade 6 - 9
Beginner Level
This class is taught in English.
Students will hopefully walk away with a deeper understanding of how Napoleon, widely regarded as a titan of history, actually wasn't as effective as he (and his apologists) would like you to believe.
I have studied French language and literature for a decade by now, and during my time pursuing a history minor at Umass Boston have devoted a tremendous amount of my free time to the study of Napoleonic warfare and politics when not researching classical Hellenistic warfare. My expertise on the subject comes from a wide and diverse array of memoirs, first-hand accounts, and secondary sources released over the past century of study in the field from English, German, and French writers.

My name is Carston Anderson and I teach (and study) predominantly history and English with an emphasis on military history and classical European civilizations. I am currently an AmeriCorps volunteer, working full time at a school in the Boston...
