After reading the book Who is Taylor Swift? by Kristen Anderson, learners will gather to complete a Nearpod lesson cram packed with facts, discussion and trivia related to Taylor. We'll learn all about how this amazing young lady has dominated music charts, created her own sound, shaken of criticism, and spoken up for what she believes is right. We'll have a rich book discussion, play games, sing and try to stump each other with obscure trivia facts about this iconic artist. Learners will have the opportunity to share their thoughts about not only the book, but also Taylor's music. Be sure to bring at least 3 trivia facts that you think may stump your fellow classmates. And of course, we'll end class with some time to make friendship bracelets!! Please Note: The Who is Taylor Swift? book is set to be released April 2. It is available for preorder on Amazon and many other sites. You can expect to see this class offered all spring/summer.

I grew up in Wisconsin where I completed my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education at UW Stout. I've taught for the public school system for 14 years in a variety of positions including classroom teacher, interventionist, ELL teacher and elementary science lab teacher. I hold a Masters Degree in Reading and School Administration from Johns Hopkins. After leaving the public school system I've spent the last several years teaching middle school Science and History at a homeschool tutorial while being a homeschool mom. I enjoy teaching hands on engaging courses that spark the interest of students with the ultimate goal of encouraging them to become life long learners. I welcome student interaction and questions.
In my personal life I LOVE to read, travel and explore new areas, especially the beach! I am a Girl Scout leader and adore every single girl in my troop.
