Are you looking for a fun science lesson to keep your student engaged on Valentine's Day?! Look no further! My 3.5 year old is already excited about this one :) During this one time class meeting students will learn about variation in heart sizes of different animals through a guided video safari and interactive scavenger hunt! At the end of the class your child is invited to stay to make a Valentine card for someone special! This lesson covers heart and trait variation of 4 different...
This class is designed to support the unique learning needs of students with ADHD or a learning disability. There is no reading/writing required in order to participate in this class. Movement activities are also worked in!
Cutting and paper folding skills are a plus for making a Valentine's card at the end but not required if an adult is present to help.
Blank sheet of paper (white or construction paper), scissors (optional), and coloring supplies of your choice. ***Please note that if your learner is younger and not yet used to using scissors you can help them with this part or their card can simply be the size of their sheet of paper. Cutting is not required.
Some students may want to use scissors to make their Valentine card at the end of the lesson. It is not required. If your child is young and not skilled with scissors yet please supervise or help with this part!
