Welcome to the Whatever After book club! In this ongoing class we will discuss a set of chapters from a book in the series. Eahc class we will only discuss the chapters assigned so you can join at anytime! This series is great for young readers who love a good adventure. We will begin class with greeting each other and then we will begin discussing the book. During class we will work on completing a story map. Once we fill in our story map each learner will begin drawing their own. This is a great way to practice visualization. Visualization is a wonderful way for a learner to recall details of a story. For example, what does the mirror look like. As we do this we will answer comprehension questions and some more critical thinking questions. At the end of the class we will share our drawings and create a book review. This class is specifically designed for all learners with all abilities. Teacher expertise and credentials
Welcome to my classroom! My name is Jessica, my students call me, Ms. Jessica. I have been an online educator for over three years. I received my B.S in Management and Leadership in 2016 and then moved onto my master's program to receive my Masters of Arts in Teaching for Special Education. In 2020 with a semester and left and my student teaching I decided to stay home and homeschool my own kiddos! I have a boy with Down syndrome and another little boy. My special education background allows me to customize my classes and adapt to any learner. When I am not teaching I enjoy taking our family dog on walks, spending time in nature, reading books of all kind, watching history documentaries, cooking, and spending time with my family.
