The learners will learn to use the elements of art to draw and color pictures inspired by cards from the "Whatchama Draw It" game or by ideas that the members of the class come up with. Elements of art include using lines and shapes to create art as well as many other things. Art helps with improving creativity, improves fine motor skills, and reduces stress.
I have been an educator for over 30 years. During this time, I have taught children in grades K-5. I have taught all academic subjects as well as Art and STEM. I am a self-taught artist.
Drawing Paper or Sketchbook Pencil Eraser Color Pencils, markers, or crayons (optional) Straight edge or ruler Tissue (without lotion or aloe), cotton swab, or smudge sticks If the learner wishes to add color to their drawings, colored pencils, markers, or crayons can be used Creativity Smile
The learners will be determining some of the topics of conversation during each class session.
I will be using cards from the game "Whatchama Draw It" by The Imagineering Company, LLC. They have given me permission to use their materials during class.
