S.T.E.M. is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. It involves solving problems, asking questions, and exploring our environment. 1. We will use our ears to listen to music and dance. HEARING, Technology, Math (Teacher will provide) 2. We will use our hands to stack items as high as we can. TOUCHING, Engineering, Math (provided by parent) 3. Vocabulary: Tall, Short, Long, Wide, Big, Small, Sweet, Salty, Sour, Spicy, Stinky, Color, Bumpy, Smooth, Hard, Crunchy, Chewy, Soft, Loud, Thumbs up, Thumbs down, categories/total: I like, I don’t like. We may or may not cover all words or phrases. It will depend on the presented items.
Please provide your child with the following for their class session: • Blocks -something to stack high. • Fruit that has a scent (i.e. Lemon-orange: cut in half) or a flower that has a scent (i.e. Rose) • Small snack that a child can talk about (i.e., crackers, fruit snack, veggie) placed in a small baggie or plate.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
