Multiple Sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that affects many families. Multiple Sclerosis is a very complex disease that impacts the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves which make up the central nervous system. When a family member is affected, it can be very concerning and confusing to children. My goal is to bring an understanding and a peaceful mindset to the learner. I am an MS patient myself and love to help spread awareness and information. In this one-time class, I will be explaining the basics of MS in a very child-friendly and easy-to-understand way. We will read a story, work through a slide presentation then have an open discussion. *Everyone is welcome in this class! Learners do NOT need to personally know anyone with MS to enjoy this informational class.*
Learning Goals
Students will improve their knowledge of MS.
