A one-on-one structured discussion to introduce the concept of college, learn basic college terminology, and have a better understanding of what to do now and in high school to become a competitive college applicant.

Class experience

US Grade 6 - 8
Students should be able to articulate what college is as well as be able to understand various essential vocabulary associated with college.
I own an independent college consulting business and hold an Independent Educational Consultant certificate. When middle school students know the basics of what college is before high school begins, they are much more aware of how high school fits into the big picture. This can help with motivation, asking good questions for their future after high school, etc.

Starting non-intensive college prep in 9th grade is ideal, and the best way to do that is to get the basics done in middle school.
