I own an independent college consulting business and hold an Independent Educational Consultant certificate. When middle school students know the basics of what college is before high school begins, they are much more aware of how high school fits into the big picture. This can help with motivation, asking good questions for their future after high school, etc. Starting non-intensive college prep in 9th grade is ideal, and the best way to do that is to get the basics done in middle school.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
